Sorry I missed you all. I went to the private pond by my house this morning. WOW! Did I have fun. Bass, Bass, Bass. I caught the biggest for this year for me. 3.5lbs 21" long. Top water propeller job. Was just going to leave and decided to walk down to another spot that I like to fish and the first cast he hit hard. Was fantastic. Here it is:

Very nice bass! Great colors on it. Are you gonna make the Carp Get Together that they're trying to put together for next Saturday?

Like the fish, nice!
Also the looks of the hole.
I sure miss the days of fishing the lil ponds and ranch lakes a back home.
Never hit the big waters for bass a but had lots of fun on the little Holes.(Well di mess around and catch about 12 on Farfield one day when we couldnt get any Red Fish to cooperate.
Prefer them actually when bassfishing. My favorite two places held Warmouths and BlueGill as well as Black Bass.

Went to ole blue Sunday night got there about 20 minutes before dark parked by construction site and low and behold I look down to the south end by the little pavillion and guess who's sitting there none other than johnny law, went a head and proceded to fish and caught 4 perch real quick on small crank bait and then just before dark johnny left to never be seen again? could'nt tell if it was the same one as last saturday me and ornery where there.Any way it was the 5th fish before I caught a bass then i caught 2 more perch on that same crank (very hard and dangerous for me and the perch to get trebles out after dark ouch!!!)soon changed to worm and caught 5 bass until i left at 10:30 great fun fishing by feel only in the dark!!! See ya'll cyclop

I love fishing after dark with worms out there, but kind of gun shy after I almost stepped on a snake while fishing with Joy and Judy.

Yeah I was thinking "BUGGY" sure is bold fishing in the dark out there. I need to see my feet and I stay on the white rocks. Last Friday two snakes were swimming right in front of us. They never left, even after ORNERY threw rocks at them. I wonder if that is why the fish stopped biting. They probably saw the snakes and moved further out in the water. We have flash lights and head lanterns so we can see where we are walking. The scariest part is when you have to go back around the iron fence onto the rocks by the construction site. I'm always afraid a snake is gonna be there.

THERE ain't nuting wrong with snakes except they ain't got no shoulders, but seriosly as long as I was on the limestone i could pretty much see, what with the 50,000 candlepower of the apartments at my back, but I did whip out my blinding Streamlight flashlite as i stepped around the corner of the fence I ain't that much of a fool. cyclop YA
