Other than the barges on Whitney, are they any bank spots that can be reached on the river or lake for crappie?

It happens every year. Remember how it was back before the Internet. AHH the good old days.

I don't think I could get squeezed much more than I was last Saturday........LOL. It wouldn't have been so bad if I was just fishing vertically, but I was casting.

You could have just walked across the river on the boats where I was.

Hamm's creek has bank fishing on the river. I know they catch them off the bank in the spring where the rock ledge is on the left of the parking lot. Not sure if they will be there now but they might.

That picture is only a fraction of the boats that were out there today. Had to have been between 50 and 75. Not alot of fish caught by anyone that I could tell.

I was is some of this yesterday, just up from Chisum Trail. Saw a few caught, but my only luck were some whites about halfway between Kimble and Chisum.

Looked like you needed to be there prior to sunup to claim a "boulder".

That fishing spot is very well known by everybody and talked about more frequently than any other spot on the Brazos and you do not have to go on the internet to find out about it. I have had numbers of fisherman tell me about that spot while I have been out fishing. Maybe they do not want to go to their home lake and like going different places like the river. The weather plays a big role in number of boats too.
