Anyone know of a boat ramp way up north on Ray Roberts? I was going to see if I might get up in the river that feeds the East side of the lake. Its a long haul from Pecan Creek. I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas on how to get a Jon Boat in the river up there. Thanks!

On the East side there is Buck Creek, on the west the furthest is right off of 3002.

Pecan is the closest ramp. You might can put in off the side of FM922. We used to do it with a jon boat at the IDB bridge on 922.
Never mind, you said east. How far up do you want to go and which creek arm? The main river for RR is Pecan on the west side.

there is a ramp in Tioga. its a little south of town on 377. its right by the railroad bridge. if you are trying to get further north of there, there is alittle road that dead ends called Clover Rd. right off of 922. they gated it off by the water, but you can carry a jon boat down to the water. its about 50yds from parking spot to the water. hope there isn't a north wind though

My 16' Jon weighs about 1,000lbs w/ its 40hp motor and built in seats and console. Probably not going to be carrying that thing very far.
I was just looking to get up in the river for the sandbass run this year since Denton Creek is shut down above Grapevine.
Looking at Google Maps, it looks like a 4.5 mile haul from Pecan Creek up into the mouth of the creek. Also it looks like there's standing timber above the Loan Oak Rd bridge. Thats going to be a long trip if I attempt it. So I was looking for a ramp a little closer. Anyone with thoughts?

Pecan creek access is it as far as North on the west arm. Yes alot of timber but I live on Corps land and see guys running up the east side of the west arm. Small to medium sized boat shouldn't be any problem with due caution.
