Fishing a lake or river. I would suggest a river and I would not use any weight. Just put your hook right on the surface and use some kind of live bait. The fluttering will attract the cats. Good Fishin' DC

Make sure limb lines are legal on the body of water were you plan to put them out. It was my understanding limb lines were no longer legal in Texas.

I was wrong about being illegal, they just have to have less than 5 hooks.

better wiht one hook, let your little perch slash on the surface just barrely submerged. a cross section of an inner tube is a nice addition if your limbs arent springy.

will do.

Honestly, I don't expect much... just one of those... "Well... why I'm here fishing... I should go ahead and set one out..."

nothing on the worm limb line.

However, my limb line with the bluegill on it was tight and slack pulled out. Unfortunately it was tangled on some submerged structure several feet off shore... I ended up breaking off 20lb test... did not see any movement afterward however... steady pressure on my line though... I feel like there was something on the end but I'm not 100% sure... oh well... that's my results.

Sounds like you'll have to get some heavier line, lol. Maybe 50 would work better for something like that? I wouldn't really know, never tried it.
