Hello! I am looking for a good catfish spot but of the bank? I dont own a boat so I can go in the lake. But I would like some help in finding a good spot of the bank. I am looking for some blues or flatheads and occasionally good size channel. I live in Garland, TX.

Try Lake Lavon, don't know how the bank fishing is right now though. Also google Lake lavon, they have their own forum. It is pretty good and informative...good luck. Little ridge park is good during the spring, Make sure you invest in some surf rods. It helps to get alittle further..

Thanks RDZ! I have two eight foot poles with trolling reels that I can cast pretty far. Those are my cat poles that I use when I go catfishing.

His Native American name would've been vegitarian or starved to death.

Right now I plan on hitting Lavon in the morning barring any changes in my honey-do list. I'm headed to the south end, probably East Fork Park.

Does any one know any more locations of the bank for some catfishing? Trying to go out fishing with the buddies but want to make sure we at least catch something?
