Guess he is no longer with Bass Pro. Signed with Wright and McGill. Noticed he was no longer part of the Bass Pros TV show but did not know he was gone altogether. I guess the RC crankbaits will be following out the BPS door.

He's always done his own thing and didn't care who liked it. I read some about him and met him at the Classic in Bossier. He was kinda stand-offish.

Welcome to Big Buisness. Nobody is safe when it comes time to trim the budget.

Stupid move if BPS was the one that initiated it. Clunn will move on and keep fishing, just as he has done for the last 30 years.

I always wondered what the pro's would fish out of and use if they didn't have to worry about sponsors

He doesn't behave like the average cookie cutter Bass Pro, he always seems a little distant to me. He use to be one of my favorite pros and I use to buy his reels, but after I met him at the BPS in San Antonio for the grand opening I no longer buy his brand. Went up to him to shake his hand and speak with him a bit, and he kind of looked at me like I was annoying him. All the other pros were interacting with the BPS crowd, but he was standing alone and looking agitated... Like I said, he use to be one of my favorites.

I was reading somewhere that Luck-E-Strike is bringing out a new signature series Rick Clunn square bill crankbait.

It kinda made me wonder what is going on there??????
