Hey guys me and a few buddies are heading to lake bastrop from college station on friday morning. I was just wondering if anybody could share some info on whats been working there recently. Were just goin fun fishin on our day off from school so just want to have a good day. Any advice is appreciated.

If you get there early start in the discharge and throw small flukes, small spinnerbaits, and rattle traps until they quit schooling. From there find the grass edges and throw spinnerbaits, and shallow cranks along the edges. Try throwing into the grass a bit and then rip the bait at the edge and stop it. If they are not having it try a jig in the reeds. Shad patterns should work but try really off the wall colors too, sometimes they will kill a red spinnerbait or a spring craw crank.
