Any one have any experience with this reel. BPS has one on a Carbonlite rod for $99 on sale and just wondering if it was worth it.

One of the smoothest reels for the money. Haven't tried the Carbonlite rod yet, but I've heard great things.

I have a Carbonlite (medium) casting rod, and I like it. It is a VERY fast action.
My friend has a President spinning reel, and he fishes with it more than any other reel he has. And he has some good tackle and knows how to use it. He really likes the larger diameter spool and the lighter weight.

I use both Shimano and Pflueger reels and own several of the Pflueger Presidents. Good quality relatively inexpensive reels and will last at least 10 years with moderate to heavy use in my experience(I fish approx. 100 days a year combined fresh and salt)unless you do not perform routine maintenance on them.
I make it through the day by dreaming of my next trip to Port A.

I don't use any Pfluger stuff in the salt as it won't last. Freshwater, they're fine. Plus that rod is usually around $99 itself so it is a good deal.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to stop by the Garland store tomorrow and pick one up.
