I was not behind red hot and blue, I was on the opposite side first I parked behind that shell station then I came back and hit the other end of that water parking behind an old closed corporate building. I work at Nokia so I am fishing the banks of the canal here on campus now. I caught 2 last night in about 45 min on char double spoon spinner, one dink and one BB about 2lbs. Will be hitting it again tonight. It seems like these fish may be real weary of human scent on the lure, I brought my fish spray today.

I got this email last night from a new TFF'er and fast becoming good fishing buddy. He witnessed this first hand, and I am so sick, angry and repulsed right now, that i strongly feel that I have posted my last "fishing spot" tip on the TFF.

AT LEAST ONE OF THESE SUBHUMANS IS A TFF'ER! I am still gonna post, but from now on, it may well be what i was accused of a few months ago, of it being a "bragging post" rather than a tip or a helpful tidbit.

Apparently we got some severe slobs on this forum and they are not worthy of 99 percent of the folks who post and read on here. But as always, one lousy, lazy slob who WON'T GO OUT AND FIND HIS OWN FISHING HOLES, WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN ACT OF COURTESY, AND SCREW IT UP FOR EVERYONE!

I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW I AM PROBABLY INCOHERENT IN MY WRITINGS, BUT NOTHING ON THIS EARTH JUSTIFIES SUCH BEHAVIOR! NOTHING! I HAVE OVER THE YRS BUILT UP VERY GOOD RELATIONS WITH THE "GRUNT" SECIRITY FOLKS AT LC, AND IN FACT USED TO GET TIPS ON HOT FISH CATCHING SPOTS IN THE CANALS FROM THE GUY WHO WAS OVER ALL THE SECURITY DOWN THERE!

THANKS TO THE BOZOS OUT THERE LAST NIGHT, THAT GOOD WILL AND TRUST BUILT UP OVER 20 YRS OF FISHING AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING HAS PROBABLY BEEN BLOWN ALL TO HELL!!

A MILLION THANKS, YOU IDIOT, WHOEVER YOU ARE! I AM SO MAD I AM BETTER OFF NOT KNOWING WHO YOU ARE!

THIS HAPPENED ON 3/9/05, IN THE EVENING:
"Well Rudy,

After I talked to you last night I looked around the lake and went by Los Crappienis and was shocked to see it looking like Vance's Camp during SandBass run. I mean it looked like a tackle show along with all the yahoo's that come with one, five guys, 15 or so poles all in the water surrounding the inlet, tackle boxes in the flower beds and on the sidewalk, three minnow buckets, four coolers, drinks sitting everywhere, people having to step over rods as they walked by, and loud foul mouthed fishermen. I just about left, but I didn't and just walked to the corner and dropped my jig in and caught a Crappie. I caught a yellow, and a large Bluegill. Soon security came down and asked them to leave. The security guy was very nice and calm but the Yahoo's got in his face and told him he had read on the internet that he had no business telling them to leave and he was staying as long as he wanted. He was informed that if he didn't leave that the police would be called and he could deal with them. The yahoo told the security guy to go "F" himself and began to gather his gear and crew up and dumped his minnow bucket on the sidewalk and left. I was just sitting on the edge of the flowerbed watching this and after they were gone I dropped my jig back in and the security guy said he hated to but he had to ask me to leave as well. I told him I understand his position and I would go, be he told me If I wanted to continue to fish then just go past the bridge, his enforcement ends at the bridge. I told him I would go home cause I didn't want to cause him trouble. He told me to be careful of the area for a while cause one of the building admins was on of the people who had to step over fishing poles to get into the building and that a memo would be going out in the morning to stop all fishing and photo shoots in the area of their building."

Vaughn.

Rudy

I concur with your stand I was out there last night from about 8:00pm-9:30pm. I fished with herefishe and left never seen a security guard. I feel bad because I willingly gave info. on the spot as well I had been turned onto spots by others felt it was a kind gesture since other Tff'ers were kind enough to put me on some spots that I still fish today one of those TFF'ers was yourself. I kinda see why some are reluctant to share information due to the power of choice in which some use that affects everyone. I apologize as a friend and fellow TFF'er for whoever was out there and displayed that type of behavior and probably cost everyone the opportunity to fish.

That sucks that a few yahoos can ruin a good thing. Technically it is posted No-Fishing, I cannot for the life of me understand the way that idiot was thinking. Sorry for the loss of the spot for you, Rudy. frown

That does suck, its a shame we have to monitor who we share helpful information with. The only thing that would be worse is if these are adults you are speaking of. Luckily I have a stretch of canal I can fish thats on my companies property so I wont have to worry about this ****. On a less negative note but still negative, I only caught 2 dinks today. Both were on a black/char grub & blk jig head with a small spinner spoon during my lunch break. I got a couple real good bites tonight but didnt manage to bring anything in. There were a few kids walking around the canals fishing had caught a few including one near 5lbs.

The canal is big, the fishing is everywhere and there are a lot of places to fish without a problem, perhaps from this point on we might be best just to refer to fishing in the canal without specific location so these punks or similar dont screw it up all together and make fishing the canal illegal all together.

One good thing that came out of all this bad was the security guy that had to put up with these jerks. He was a young guy and I was very impressed by his professionalism in this situation. He could have been a jerk back to these guys but he was calm and even showed me where I could fish without being bothered by him.
Running off a bunch of fishermen was the last thing this guy wanted to do with his night, but he was just doing his job and I think things will calm down in time. I told him if I see him coming in the future I will go to the spot he showed me and he just smiled. Very nice young man, I wish we had more like him.

Ouch!

I've never met you, Rudy, but I feel you are a class act. I've appreciated all of the tips you've given me. It takes a selfless person to help total strangers like you do. It's pathetic that someone would go and do something like that. Then again, we see it all the time. From hunting to fishing, public forums can be a huge help or headache. I have public areas that I bowhunt close to the metroplex where I've seen and missed trophy deer. As much as I want to brag about it on public forums, I bite my tongue and do my best to keep it to myself. I've shared such places with close, personal friends. It takes one idiot to get carried away with a good thing and ruin it for the whole lot.

I saw this thread going that direction and almost posted as such. Any time a feeding frenzy is started, something bad comes of it. I never got to make it over there to do some crappie fishing in the canals, and I'm sorry that one of your best spots was abused.

I'm new here but not new to the public hunting/fishing forum world. I'm not speaking for everyone, but I'm sure others would agree that you are a true asset to TFF. I've gained more insight from your posts than I could accumulate on my own in many years. I've even read back to last year searching for your tips and reports.

The person responsible for this, be it a poster or a lurker, knows who they are. Thanks a lot for ruining a good thing. Hope you're happy.

Hey Rudy nice meeting u tonight I C U have a wealth of knowledge & I count it a honor to meet U after hearing and reading so much about U. Whoever was the jerk that cause all this unwanted security in LC I really hope U get what U deserve I went out tonight with PrimeTime and we tolded about 19 landed 9 keepers, 3 were huge, but because of the Idiot who couldn't keep his foul mouth shut I was ran off by security. Although the guy was nice he asked us to leave, even said He was sorry to spoil our fun. I talked to him for a while and he said that the security team was asked to keep a close eye on the canal. I hope things get back like they were. Rudy I could tell how MAD U were when we were talking, but I don't blame U.

Glad to hear you caught some fish Herefishe! Did you catch anything in that spot i sent you and primetime to, in the boat slips by the spa? I gotta think you caught SOMETHING in there, as that is a major hotspot, though mostly for bass, this time of yr.

We'll get together and i will show you some spots you won't believe, as soon as i get some free time on my hands!

Rudy

Well i am finally in the Forum now guys/gals... I met Rudy also last night along with HereFishe... Me and HereFishe have been fishing together for about 2 years now... He has taught me just about all I know about fishing... I think i have surpassed him now though, seeing that I caught the biggest Crappie last night(we took pics) smile lol

Rudy we fished the spot in the boat slips by the spa... We were only there about 5 minutes... i caught a Mud Catfish in that little bit of time... But it was so tempting to go back to the Crappie spot the security was harboring over, that we decided to go back... Caught another mud catfish there and some Crappie(one was HUGE) and about 4 yellow bass... Even met Omega4 out there as well The security came out out but the guy was very polite We chatted for a while with him and left So I feel things will settle down in a few weeks

Glad to be a part of this forum And I feel priviledged to have met the GHOST Rudy I could have sat there all night listening to you Rudy Fishing is a passion of mine and it's good to network with people like you guys here on the forum

God bless...

Sorry to hear that Rudy. I saw this post last night but waited until this morning to post so as not to get kicked off the TFF for cursing. Glad to hear the fishing is still good there. I miss not being able to walk out of my office and hit the culvert. Those security guys are always pretty nice so hopefully this will just blow over. It just infuriates me that this has to ruined by one bad apple when you have been so open and generous on this forum with all your info. Not to by very specific as to tip off this moron but have you been to Helmut lately? With this warm weather, it's got to be heating up there.

Keep fighting the good fight, Rudy. Everyone here appreciates all you've offered.

Rudy I remember when you used to post on the old bulletin board. I can't remember the name of board now, but I still have print outs of your posts. I understand how you feel and you do what you must. If not posting spots keeps this from happening, then so be it. Those guys not only reflected on themselves, but on this board too. You have given us a great head start on finding some spots of our own and I hope you continue to post your reports and leave the spots out. You're the best bank barometer we have around here. smile

I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾
