Has anyone ever fished Averhoff. It is down south near Crystal City. I fished it twice and caught some great bass and all types of sunfish.

I fished there a couple of years ago. It is on the Nueces river and is located near Crystal City of of Hwy 83. There is a boat launch in a small neighborhood community. I caught some great bluegill, longear and bass. It was very fun to fish. My buddy and i fished it about 3 times and had great luck. I am waiting for it to warm up so that i can fish again.

I've always wanted to check it out, but didn't look like much from the Google Maps view.

Guys I went last year and the lake was LOW!! I mean I was in a ten foot jon boat and my bud an I had to carry it to the bank beacuase the boat ramp was above water. once we were in we caught some bass in the trees. there was alot of grass growing near the bank and a whole bunch of trees that had fallen over. I dont reccomend taking your big boats in thats for sure.

There is plenty of trees and some of the bank does have grass. I can tell you i was mainly fishing with ultra lights, curly tail grubs, grasshopper poppers and caught a bunch of big bluegills and longears. What was great is we would hook into a "bonus bass". The biggest bass i caught was about 4 lbs and this was on 4lb test line.

When i went, i was able to use the ramp but that was 2 years ago.
