 does the NEW fishfinder 597ci HD DI combo come with chartplotting?

i'm looking to buy a new depth finder/gps for my boat, but i can't seem to find one with down imaging AND chart plotting. does anybody know if the NEW fishfinder 597ci HD DI combo come with chart plotting rather than the previous version?

Am I correct in understanding that the difference in the 597 and 788 is ethernet connection and $150.00?

The 597ci HD DI is a stand alone unit - No networking. Single Card Reader. The 788ci HD DI can be InterLinked or Ethernet Networked with other unit. Has two card Reader slots.

The 788 also has three programmable preset buttons right? You use them to save your favorite setup combinations. I think that would be very handy.

Yes the 3 Favorite View Buttons just like your favorite radio stations can be saved for instananeously switching to another view on the 788ci HD DI.

The other difference is the 597 does not have side imaging...correct?

The 788 doesn't have Side Imaging either. It is a DI unit.
