I have what Kevin refers to as a ski & fish, although it's 'real' to me wink . Totally agree with the comment that the deep V is much better if you're gonna be out on a big lake often. I've taken it out on Buchanan in some nasty stuff and it's still stable enough to fish/troll without soaking you in the process. Caught some nice striper besides.

It's a runabout/bowrider, but completely converts into a fishing boat, complete with front platform/seat with integrated console for plugging in the trolling motor, aerated livewell, built-in tackle boxes, and it came with a fishfinder preinstalled. I can troll easily into 2-3' depth coves (32" draft). I've even taken it out to Fork, but the pucker-factor caused by the stumps versus my fiberglass keeps me from doing that again.

On the flip side, I just pop out the fishin seats, snap back in the vinyl cushions in the bow and the rear sundeck and I'm back to a 190hp ski boat again. I invested in the Motorguide quick release trolling mount too, so that's easy to remove. P.S. Makes it easier to convince the wife that it's "for the family" and not just me - although 90%+ I use it for fishing.

Bought it used just over a year ago - best purchase I've made to date. No regrets - kids and wife agree.

Finally Caught One!

Ksutton is correct in his assessment of the two different types of F/S. I have what he refers to as a Ski & Fish. It is a Caravelle 207 and I love it. It is my second boat and while I fish on it all the time, my friends and family love the ski configuration.
