I had some poles stolen at Grapevine lake about 6 years ago. I stopped at the dam in my dads truck. I had 5 poles with me a net and my tackle box. I carried 2 poles down and the tackle box. I was only about 50 to 75 feet from the truck, but I was down a hill. These two men who were fishing on the hill left within a minute or two of my sitting down. I come back to find 2 rods missing. The third was tangled in the net and I guess they thought it would take too long or make too much noise.

I'm very sorry to hear about thievery happening here around my home. I've never had anything stolen from me around OH Ivie (yet), and I hope this is an isolated incident of some hillbilly crackhead doing what they do. I agree with some of the other posts in getting to administer a little country justice on scat-birds who would thieve someone else's fun. I did have a tackle box stolen in Coleman years ago, and it contained a mountain of stuff that my dad had bought back in the 50's - balsa wood Devil's Horses, Lucky 13's, Jitterbugs, etc. I know the anger that this kind of thievery can generate. Sorry for the loss bud.

I had some item stolen from our RV last weekend, TV,DVR, X-Box etc. We are on the south side of Ivie. Help keep an eye out for things that don't look right and take down some information. It might help put these guys were they belong.

Any time this happens you should be contacting local pawn shops...keep a look out. This sucks and hate to hear it every time I see it

I personally went to every pawn shop in our area last year when thieves stole our rods and tackle from our vehicle, I was told at each and every one that they could not look in their inventory to see if they had had the items. The wouldn't even take the list of the items. When I made the police report, even the officer said I had a slim chance that the stuff would be found.

It's really funny how You didn't here anything about Ivie until about 2 or 3 Years ago when the Fishing really started picking up and since then it's got even better and better based on all of the reports posted on here and now that it's drawing a crowd it's drawing the theives just like you here about on Fork, Rayburn. They just follow the money.

It's been happening here at the lakes since the economy crashed. I think the only way to slow it down is full camo in the bushes and take shifts until they show up and beat them and leave them lay. My buddy just had his catalytic converter cut off his Toy truck so we wired large treble hooks to the frame above the new one.
