Would any one be interested in a 2000 225hp merc pro max?
one of my boat options im looking at is only rated for 200hp and has a nice 225 pro max, but it is over powered and prevents me from tourny fishing. would it be too much trouble and would it be tough to find somone to swap a merc or mariner 200hp in the 2000-2005 year range, or would i be better off going with a different boat?
thanks

Just get a 200hp engine cowl logo, remove the 225 logo and there you go.......

It's always better to tell the truth. But I was thinking the same thing as RR. I just could not live with myself if I did it.

I am not a saint by any means , but there is no way I could pass one in that situation. "Did you obey all rules of this event?" Banned for life. Not worth it

It should be an easy swap for you. ALso think about selling the Promax outright and buying a 200HP.

The Promax is a sought after engine for the hotrod guys.

Just not worth it in the end to break the rules

ya, if i was gonna break a rule and get DQed, it would be a bigger deal than motor size, i would weigh in 5 frozen fish haha
well i dont want to sit on a motor and try and sell it while im missing all these tournys, but i have seen that people are looking for these.
are controls the same for pro max, efi and opti motors? and all i would have to do is swap motors right

I had a 225 ProMax on my Bullet. One of the best performing, most reliable motors I have ever owned. I would think if you look around you could find people interested in that deal.
