Guess I'm an antique also, I've fished with all of those in years past except for the one with mercury in the middle of it.

Looks like a diving squid used for saltwater fishing.
There is no such thing as "too much" fishing.

Here is a few of my old lures Paul Ray, the frog is my favorite, the red/white with a clear center section has mercury in the middle of it, and the other red/white plug is a single spring loaded hook for weedless. These are some great old lures! To me more than anything, it shows how our minds and thought processes develop over time. Just like the Ford company produced the model-T years before the modern f-150, the lure manufactures produces these lures before lures like the ones we have today. I wonder how much these old lures cost when they were one the shelves of old mom and pop hardware stores? And I wonder if that cost is comparable to the overpriced ones hanging Cabela's or Bass Pro?

I got this old wooden Crazy Crawler by Heddon from a garage sale. It was in an ancient, rusted tackle box along with some other lures. I like the look and "feel" of old fishing lures.

I have looked in 3 of my antique lure books and cannot ID that lure. My guess is that it is a Heddon experimental lure. The only thing that is close is the crazy crawler made by Heddon, or the Jersey Wow lure made by Jim Donaly. Mainly by the hardware, but both of these lures have a different body styles. That is why I say it's a experimental lure. Don't know for sure, just guessing. Neat lure though.
