I used to fish it. The fishing is great. Several years ago TP&W said not to eat the fish. Selinium level is to high. This is a power plant lake and the water is hot. Fish just don't taste good to me.

That advisory was lifted and removed in Oct 2003 they did more studies and all levels of selinium are low.

I'm a bass fisherman but I frequent this lake. I was talking to a local not too long ago while we were putting the boat back on the trailer and he said that some funky looking catfish come out of that lake. They like to hang around the inlet and get sucked through the cooling area and come out really slimey and with some odd warts. If you're one of those guys that fishes under the Comorants you're in luck though. That place is covered in them and there's one big tree that they all nest on at the North end of the lake.
The only true intercontinental champion.
