Man, I hate to hear this... those guys need to be concentrating on fishing and not worrying about replacing gear that was carefully selected for this event. Hope they catch whoever is responsible and they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Good idea panhandle! Bad part is, these scumbags steal this stuff, then go to boat ramps and sell it. Guys sell tackle at Tawokoni all the time. Where do you reckon that stuff comes from? Just saying those that buy stuff like that just encourage the theft.

Seriously people.
When are the hotels going to start hiring security for the high profile touranments? All you have to do is get a few guys to do 2 hour shifts watching the parking lot. I don't understand how this happens. Sounds like being the first level of defense would be an option.

Talked to Brian Clark earlier and his boat was not hit. He stays at campgrounds and says its usually less a problem for him. Also he sleeps just a few feet from his boat so its easier to hear anything is someone is messing with it.

I hate to say it but it happens a lot more than people know about and the sad thing is that if they dont get you're boat then guys like me that carry a ton of spare gear in my truck they will get into it.
