I have a 25'x25' workshop that I would like to insulate in the future. Can anyone recommend a good product that isn't too rough on the wallet.

I've seen some with the blow in/spray on insulation. I dont know the price, but that seems to be the way to go with metal buildings. I believe it sticks straight to the walls.

I'll look into that. Did it look pretty good after the project was finished?

The ones I saw didnt really look that great. It looked like a wall covered in spray foam. I think it was effective, but not much for looks.

My metal building has a plastic coated insulation material held up by chicken wire. It is not very thick though...maybe an inch and a half. It helps. Mine has the roof vent system which makes a difference in the summer.

The foam spray is much more effective, but it is costly and looks nasty once it gets dirty.

you can use roll/bat insulation with chicken wire to hold it in. It's not great looking though. Same with the spray in. If looks are big concern insulate however you want, and then cover it osb.

Spray foam is the best, but it is not friendly on the wallet. The least expensive would be those garage door insulation panels. They have a glue on one side. But they are east to cut and install.

I did my whole shop in the 4 X 8 sheet os 2 inch styrofoam sheets. I used the 1 inch roll bands to hold them on the roof along with the recommended glue on the wall and roof. I only saved $500 on the whole job as compared to the spray. It cut the temp. down by 20% in there. I also installed 3 of the roof vents and an exaust fan. Which I have an extra for sale that i didn't use.

If you havent already completed this project . You can use reinforced vinel faced insulation and screw it to the bottom side of the perlin. You by a bucket of roofing tabs which are just round flat metal and run the screws threw them. Thats how I insulated mine and it worked great . It takes three people to do it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't done it yet. Just trying to get ideas for a future project. Other more important projects need to be paid for 1st before beginning this one.

this is what I'm gonna use when I get the money, not too expensive and it's something I think I can do myself.
