Anyone ever tried using saller Bullheads for Flathead cats. Read a Book on Catfishing and they said its a preferable meal for flatheads and good bait, where allowed by game law.
Mentioned cutting the Barbs off the Bullheads to make'em bleed a bit and that they are bit hardier than most all other forms of live bait!

Hmmm.. I can see the science to that..anyone tried?! who_knows

RangerR - That's perfect size for the eating size flatheads. Get a stainless steel offset 4/0-6/0 hook and hook them behind the dorsal spine. If you get larger ones >8", then hook them through the bottom jaw, run the hook behind the dorsal spine and hook it there again. Make sure note to penetrate the backbone/spinal cord, they'll die quick!

Good luck and hope you get some!! fish
