Absolutely fabulous, I went to Tin top and caught a sore arm and a bad attitude on Friday afternoon. Hit the creeks and found a skunk.

Never heard of a sanchez creek off Lewisville. Where's it at?

This is what I need to try. I live on the north part of Lewisville and just need to find a local creek to fish.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

papa peck, your cork setup is something i haven't seen before.. Isn't it usually the other way around? i dunno know what to call that thing, that black piece should face upward, no? it looks like you have it faced down toward the jig.... does it give the jig better movement when twitching?

Nice! both whites and blacks together! Hope that keeps you for a while! I wouldn't eat that much in an entire season! Fisherwood I was going to keep them - have a big family and would have gotten maybe 2 meals out of that bunch and then I started thinking about walking out a mile with a stringer that big and really did not want to clean any anyway, so I threw back that entire stringer and they were all very much alive when I released them. Then a friend called and wore me out for not keeping him 5 or 10 so I stayed and caught that smaller bunch before calling it a day. papa peck, your cork setup is something i haven't seen before.. Isn't it usually the other way around? i dunno know what to call that thing, that black piece should face upward, no? it looks like you have it faced down toward the jig.... does it give the jig better movement when twitching? Dunkky I switched the plug to the bottom when I had trouble with the line not going down - kept getting hung up about 2 times out of 3 would not release, jig just sat there about 2 or 3 inches from the cork - so I switched the plug around and that fixed the problem. The line seemed to flow threw the cork easier with the plug in the bottom. It had nothing to do with the movement of the jig. They really wanted very little if any movement - just let it sit there with just a small twitch every 10 or 20 seconds - often they bit with no movement at all.

Wow..what a stringer,Papa Peck....village Creek is about 5 miles from my house, and you have made me determined to go and try and find some crappie. Thanks for the pics... you have built a fire under this ole country boy, not to wait til Spring to fish the creek.
