Is there anyone out there doing any cat fishing on Benbrook Lake. If so, are you doing any good. If so would you mind shaing some information on the where, when and how? I see the fishing report and it has good on cat fish but i have been unable to do much damage out there. And info will be a great help.
If you give a man a fish you feed him for the day, But if you teach him how to fish you feed him for life.

I have been fishing Benbrook the last eight weeks at night from the bank. I have done real good on DK Punch bait. I have also been using range cubes to salt the water. I will be going again tomorrow evening.

Sendero Hey I have been fishing benbrook for the last few years. This year I have totally bombed out. I have tried the creeks at benbrook marina, mustang park and bear creek, with little to no luck.
Are you fishing for channels or blues? I have been using punch bait on some rods, night crawlers on some and liver on the other. I have had the best luck with liver and worms.. vs the punch bait. but I havent caught anything over 10 to 11 inches.
Where abouts are ya fishing from the bank. I have heard of using range cubes for chum, are you chumming it before you cast out your lines or are you going serveral hours earlier.?
I was out there last night at mustang. caught two drum and a perch?? but no cats.. maybe we can meet up some time.
thanks R.

robert0550 Been catchin only channels. I've been chummin 3 places about 30 min. before fishing. I forgot the range cubes once, I'll never do that again fishing without them was a waste of time. Going again tomorrow evening, email me.... Sendero

HotRodKris You buy range cubes from the feed store where they sell feed for cattle.they work great,I just got back from prebaiting a hole for tonite and also caught 11 while I was there.

We went to Mustang park last night, we tried the creek to the right, the first turn. Had no luck at all they were jumping everywhere but biting nothing. Where are you going at Benbrook? Maybe one weekend we can get together and you show me your tricks
