The use of swimbaits is such a broad topic. There is just no way to cover it all, especially in one video. I'm doing what I can to break it down piece by piece. A few people were asking about fishing swimbaits around cover so I put together this video.
I really want you to see that they're just another bait. Even the huge baits are nothing but a tool, a "means to an end." You don't have to be afraid of them, they don't scare the fish, and if you choose you can fish them just like any other bait.
There really isn't a "right" way to fish a swimbait. I hope this sheds a little light on another option for catching big bass. At the very least, the next time you're watching big fish cruising around docks this will pop up in the back of your head.
Swimbait Skipping Video
Is this something you've tried or is it new to you? I assure you, its not a gimic. It works and it works often.

Thanks Matt for posting, but I know a few guys that can't even catch a bass bigger than the swimbait you were using in the video. bolt

Haha, you guys are too funny. I used the biggest bait available to make a point... that any bait can be skipped into tight quarters. Its even easier with the smaller 6" type baits.

I'd wind up with a backlash bigger than my head.

Video tips for the future:

1)Fishing
2)California girls
3)Bikinis

Not necessarily in that order either.

That's another brand that is another inch or so longer, taller and heavier than a Hudd.

No, that wasn't a huddleston. It was a Baitsmith Magnum. Its 9.5 inches as opposed to the Huddleston's 8 inches. All of those baits will skip if you practice with them.
