okay, I built my jugs a couple months ago with pvc and foam (thanks roger). I've had some great success so far. I'm thinking about doing an overnight float trip down the colorado river. My idea is to rig the jugs for free floating with a single hook on the bottom, a couple split shot for weight, and only about 5 ft. of line, so i don't snag. bait up about a ten jug set, put em in the river and float down the river along side them in my canoe till the sun comes up. will this work? and if so can i catch blues, channels and flatheads at this depth?
