Mine was 20# and I caught it with a whippy 5 foot crappie rod with 6# line on it

83 pounder, caught Easter 2005 and 42 pounder caught Thanksgiving 2005, Both on Lake Conroe in the same spot.

Nice fish. Was wondering what they were caught on and depth of water. My 48 pounder was caught first of Dec. in 17 ft.
Drop it in front of them and they will eat it!!!

Well I have caught them over 100lbs but no pics to prove it. But I do have a pic of the one I caught last year 90+ could very well be over 100lbs. Was not able to find a scale big enough for him. A week later caught one just a bit smaller then this one. In my experience over the years I do my best Ap fishing from Dec to April.

Our largest was a 49lber out of the Brazos River Authority canal in Texas City which feeds the big lake that we used to be able to fish on Hwy 146 right before Dickinson Bayou bridge. Now, we did have one much larger in the canal and another one in Toledo Bend that straightened out a 8/0 Eagle Claw right in front of our eyes! I can see it in Toledo with all the structure we were catching in, but not in the canal where there's nothing but a clay bottom!!
Go figure...it happens! Chris

my biggest is 25lbs.caught on a limbline on the sabine river south of marshall texas.i've seen alot bigger caught there,a friend of mine has caught a 55lbs. there also.
2001 express 15'aluminum flat bottom, w/ 25 hp mercury.

Mine was a 67Lbs flathead caught in the Trinity river just north of Liberty 5/1/05 on a live perch. I caught it on a 5 hook throw line.

mine was 43 i was only 13 and i caught him on a rod and reel he was only 2 pounds away from the texoma lake record
live to fish! fish to live!
