I have this posted down in the rods and reels section I just figured I would get more responses here. With that said I seen these on TW and they are regular price at $99. I know Carrot Stix had a bad deal for a while but have they fixed it? And has anyone used this rod? http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/E21_Carrot_Stix_Wild_Casting_Rods/descpage-CSWX.html

Carrot stix didn't have that bad of a deal. Both of the guys I fish with, Tom Groves and Rocky Robison, can swing 5 lbers in the boat w/ their Carrot Stix!
Anyhow, I'm curious about the new rods. I haven't heard of 'em, but am very interested.

Wouldn't even give them a second chance! Bad rep., and they have sucked to much money out of good people! I have only owned one Carrot stick, and never ever again for me! I would take a 29 dollar Ugly stick before a 10 dollar Carrot stick!

No vegetable rods in my boat. I have had 4 of them blow up on clients. No other brand has broke more than one.

If its only 100bucks then it has to be poor quality. Carrot sticks have some of the worst caftmanship i have ever seen. i have broken 3 of them

I'm not gonna buy a rod more than $100. Guess I'm fishing with garbage! Should probably give up fishing

I have about 8 Carrot Stix. Fish them hard, never an issue. Light and sensitive.

Got three gold carrot stix and love them, 4 years and never a problem. Caught many 3 to 6 pound fish with them several 7 and 8lb fish with a 10.2 the largest. Taken them to Falcon twice no problems. Think for $200 they're great.

I just bought another carrot stix. It has micro guides. Awesome rod and I have swung everything that has bit and not had a problem.

I have one carrot stix and its a great topwater rod. I have heard some bad stories about the rods blowing up though. This wild rod might be stronger if it's made a little differently. All we can do is wait and see the results.
I think it's all in how you treat your rods. I know there are always lemons in production lines, but I know I push my rods to the limit. Maybe that's why I cant keep a rod for more than 1.5 years haha.

I have two of the more expensive models the ones with the metal backing on the butt of the rod and haven't had a problem with either one. They are light and very sensitive.
