The cold weather has the fish turned on and the bite is excellent.
Limits of good quality 3-5 lb fish with lot's of bigger fish mixed in with a good hard bite happening.
Nothing else out there like hearing that bait clicker scream and watching the rod double over.
We have an opening on one of our boats for Sunday and also a few dates over the Christmas holidays still available.
Call 817-946-1777 if interested.
We can do a combo trip and go catch a nice box of blue cat and then go out and try and catch some Trophy Blue Catfish if the bite stays as fast and furious as it is now.

I saw you out there on Saturday about when the front hit. We were just about to pull up the Redneck jugs we had set out when you and your son went by (near the old dam cut).
We caught 2, 5lb blues and one 7 lb blue on hotdogs.
The jugs saved the day it was kinda slow on the Hybrids/Sandies.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

How do you rig a hotdog so it does not come off the hook?

Just use a standard kale (SP) hook what comes on a standard Redneck jug. (had a couple W/trebels but they are too hard to store when we weren't using them). I am no expert on Hotdog fishing (or most any other kind of fishing but I do hold my own) but I remember when I was a kid we used to catch the best cats on hotdogs.
You do have to be a little careful when you drop them in and use a big enough piece. I use 1/3 of a dog and hook it thru and back into it, down the center on a standard hook. I had a pack of un opened hotdogs that were left over from camping this summer, they rolled around in the ice chest and got nasty and I decided to use them on the jugs so I thru them in the freezer and only remembered to take them last weekend. They worked great didn't smell up your hands or boat and did I mention they worked great. I don't know if it matters but they were the fairly good dogs Decker pork and turkey. I have heard you can (and I plan on trying) soak them in vanilla and it makes them turbo charge. I have never tried it only read about the vanilla thing here on TFF (Thanks again everyone for many great posts) I plan on getting some of the Shad oil spray and also trying the vanilla thing and maybe something I have heard about for over 30 years WD-40. Has anyone else ever tried WD-40? When I was a kid I knew an old timer that used to swear Hotdogs and WD -40 was the best thing for Channel cats . It took me almost a year to believe him. I thought he was pulling my leg. Still to this day I have never tried it! I have heard of others spraying their minnows with WD-40 for crappie never tried that either. anyone?

PS I use shad or Punch on a rod and reel! can't cast a hotdog w/o it coming off. I wonder if you couldn't chum with hotdog debris?

GPAGOLF, you might want to sneek into your wife's panty hose drawer. Steal a pair. Then cut them up into little sacks in which to encapsulate your weenie. This way you can be sure your teeeeeenie weeeeeeeenie might be cut off, but will never fall off.

Mark, I've heard about the WD 40 thing and have seen some people using it without any luck. I would not put that stuff on my weenie, and I would not use a hook anywhere near it either. Sorry, I couldn't resist!!! I do have a friend who caught some cats on weenies once but never tried them myself.

Don't forget the bread, mustard and pickle relish. An onion and a big bag of chips. Chili is optional if the charcoal is glowing. Of course that's just in case the fish ain't hitting that good!
Just one more cast!
