Here is an example of ours. They feature a Heavy Mustad Ultra Point Wide Gap Hook. Also we just happen to be running a 20% off sale right now. Use Coupon Code "TFF20" during checkout. Brown Craw Thanks,

Bring on the prostaffers!!!
I agree. There are Alot of weaker hooks used on football jigs. Many of the jigs people have mentioned are the ones I am referring to
So far I have been impressed with the rock crawler. I'm not affiliated with them but they seem to be built solid with a very stout hook. Only thing I can fault them on is the eyes came off of one of mine. But that was after a half dozen falcon fish and a few from Ivie. So I think I got my money's worth

check out the Skinny Bears Jigs, they have a custom football jig head that sits up while the jig is on the bottom, increasing your hook up ratio. They have silicon and rubber skirts.
click on the skinnybear link under my name and it will take you to the website. Good luck with whatever jig you decide to go with.

most of the time a light wire hook is on a football jig because they are fishing deep with alot of line out so it helps with a hookset. But just about every company will offer one with a stouter hook and alot of the smaller companies that are a part of this forum will put whatever hook you want on it.
realdealcustomtackle.com is a great place for custom jigs, and he will make them however you want them.
