I've eaten at the Duck Inn twice in the last 2 years. First time my catfish came back wiggling. It was nearly raw on the inside and not even hot. I sent it back to have them cook it some more. The manager came by and jokingly asked why I don't like my catfish medium rare. I didn't find it very funny after getting a mouthfull of raw fish. We went several months ago for another try. It was better, but not as good as it could be. I think I'll stick to cooking and eating my own. LL cats taste much better than farm raised anyday.

One thing I do at any catfish restaraunt is to tell them to, "burn it". They understand this. I'm like you Strat.....I can't stand raw fish.

There is one up here on the north side of Texoma Dam that has a tendency to serve catfish not dressed properly. They leave a big layer of that red "skin" meat on. Spitttttttooooooeeeeeeee!!!

I did like you....Gave them two tries scattered over a years time, and they served it the same way both times....I won't ever be back.

I don't live in the area but, I have eaten at Sam's or Catfish Sam's, something like that on Division in Arlington.

It is an older place but, the food was good. They serve the fixings family style and then you order the quantity of fish that you would like. I ordered the large and the waitress talked me out of it and said that if I was still hungry after the medium order, then she would bring me some more. She was right, no need in her bringing more.

I was just told about this place 2 weeks ago. I live in Grand Prairie and Arlington is just a hop away. I heard they have an AYCE and the food is delicious.

It's not all you can eat...technically but Hucks is some of the best catfish around in my opinion. Used to only be one in Pottsboro, now there is one in Denison and a new one in Sanger.

P.S. The full order is all any non-super hero can down.

FishBait I agree with you....I never get the full order at Huck's....Cause I don't like to take fish home in a doggy bag. smile

I didn't know about the one in Sanger. The one at Pottsboro has been closed the last couple times I been by it. Perhaps it's seasonal??

We had some Abilene guys once say Huck's wasn't any good....But, then I think those were green lipped sucker mouth catchers....And, I don't put much stock in anything they might offer about real fish. laugh laugh

I was told they have AYCE filets. Is that correct?? Keep in mind I have never been to this place. Where the hack is Hucks?? Is this place expensive? If Big Mike say he can't eat a full order, then I need try it out. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Mike, the one in Pottsboro was shut down since they opened the other one right down the road in Denison. The one in sanger just opened a month or so ago I believe.

Plan on waiting in line
