can any of you guys tell me the proper way to hook a shad with a Khale hook for drift fishing?

I personally worm them on the hook. I start at the eye and run the hook all the way though the body and then come out at the tail. If they are small I will put several of them on the hook and I poke them though the skull where the bone helps hold them on. If you have very big shad a strip or fillet works. If I use buffalo I cut them into finger strips.

Go through the side of the head behind the eye socket and out the back of the shad so it is double hooked.

so the shad would kind of be folded in half or do you try and keep them straight?
