All kinds of gas motors in Texas are TITLED not Registered. ALL BOATS propelled by any kind of motor (electric or gas) must be both TITLED AND REGISTERED. Registering and Titling used boats and Titling used motors in Texas is harder than registering and titling used cars and trucks. If you are going to purchase a used motor or boat, stop by your local TP&W Office BEFORE you pay money to make sure they give you all of the forms and advise you which paperwork is required from the seller. Saves much heartache and many headaches.

If its under 14 foot and under wind power it doesnt need to be registered.
