 Difference between Shimano Calais reels

Neebie here (been lurkin' fer awhile and love the site) with a question.
Handled a Shimano Calais 100a and loved it. Getting ready to order one and noticed the Shimano Calais Series A reels @ the same price. Can anyone tell me the difference between Shimano "100a" and the Shimano "Series A" reels. Best I can tell, is line capacity, but not sure. Any advice would be welcome.
