Lewisville has been great so Lavon or RH should be just as good. Put a No. 4 trebble 18"-24" below a float. Add a small split shot about 6" above the hook as needed for weight. Load that thing up with Sure Shot and hang on. The closer to the rocks the better.

Strat...do you konw of any easy way to get down to the rip rap to bank fish at Lewisville? I just moved here and I have no clue how to get anywhere. I have not brought the boat down yet, so I am stuck to the shore.

Another thing that has alwaws worked for me is to try to fish facing the wind. It makes for harder fishing but the fish will tell you they like rough water, keeps things stired up better.Another bait that is sometimes in the fishes belly is the moss off of the rocks, check it out.

TTguy,
They used to allow you to park on 35 and fish around the bridge. I saw some no parking signs the other day when I crossed the bridge. It might be worth finding another place to park and make the walk. Any of the rip rap along 35 should be good. There is another cove off of Highland Village Road near some boat houses. It has some bank accessible rip rap. I've never fished there for cats, but it might be worth checking out.

the windiest stretch that is getting pounded by waves.....if S. wind fish the South side of rocks on the North end of lake.....if E. wind fish the East side of rocks on the West end of lake.....etc., etc.

Do you fish rip rap during the day or at night? What if you can only fish daylight hours?

txfishin,

Try the windblown , main lake points first, with deeper water nearby. BP'S cats are full of eggs and should be there.
