The fish weighed 39.10lbs and was caught on a trotline by John Kennedy on 6-05-05. I'm not sure what bait he was using but I think it was a perch or frozen shad.

I am surprised the record isn't bigger. I have seen them a lot bigger than that in Buckshot White's minnow tank behind Byrd's Store.

Heck Dogg, you I think you have caught 'gou's bigger than that. haha

Bascom I'm sure that there has been bigger ones caught but people don't go through the proper channels to get them certified as records or even waist their time in trying but this young man wanted his name in the books. The others had rather make turds out of them instead of records. rolfmao laugh rolfmao

I hear you Dogg. The one's I saw may have well been gill-netted. There used to be a gang of outlaws running the bayou.

At least he will set the bar with that fish.

I don't think I would eat one that big. He has probably eaten a lot of turds to get to that size. haha
