I just received my new proangler 6.5 rods from Ed. I really like the feel. Think they will perform as good as my 2-$100 St. Croix's. I'll give a performance report after I fish them Monday. Gotta be all I can be this weekend.
Keep on fishing.

Yep...I can already tell ya your gonna love it. Ive been buying rods from Mr. Phillips for some time now and I dont have one complaint. Beats the hell out of a wally rod and there the same price. Im just afraid hes going to up the price here pretty soon. That new 12 footer hes got out now is unbelievably light.

Was wondering about the 12 footer. Not much into the spider rigging though. I have been fishing PA's for the last 4 years (8' and 10') and love them. Ed makes a good rod and he stands behind them. Think the 6.5 is his best ever though.
Keep on fishing.

Yeah, I wish he continued with the 9'. Man that was a great rod but he said nobody else really like them??? I wanted to buy a couple 6.5's from him today but he wasnt around. As far as the monster 12 footer is concerned, I'll only use it when im wading the shallows. That is still alot of rod. 12 feet!!! It may be more of a pain than a pleasure. We got a ways till the spawn though.

DB if the forecast is anywhere close to right, you'll be one wet noodle if you fish Sunday. Sat should be good though. And that 6.5 is one sweet rod, great sensitivity and good backbone. Good luck.

The 6.5 rod sounds kind of sweet. I want to check one of em' out for myself too for those really tight situations where it's tough to fish an 8 footer.

I like the 6 footer. nice feel to it. Most of the time I use the 8 footers. Lately I'v been using the 9 footer and like it . I was going to get another one but they don't have them anymore.Been using them for 4 years and haven't broke one yet. Have had zero problems.

I have a 9' & love it. My son just ordered a 6.5 footer & I plan to try it out & then will probably have to order one for myself.
A bad day on the lake is much better than a good day at work!

I am sure Tiger can outdrive me a mile with cheap golf clubs too. Some people need better equipement to drive a ball far and some people need a sensitive rod. Just saying.

That's just me. But if you can feel a 1/8 oz jig 30 feet deep on your walmart rod , good for you. MO

I've got cheap stuff (Walmart) and expensive stuff(St. Croix). Like to see pics of some of these limits you been catching. No pics, didn't happen. Josh is exactly right.
