Newman's Bottom Gate is now open, not lot's of water but do check it out should be some Crappie in the deeper holes downstream from the bridge.

We need some rain on Sunday.

Y'all are going to like that road this year.

We need rain to enjoy the new road! Without a good flow into the lake we'll be fishing points instead of the creek!

The road to Yegua creek and more. I went there Friday and was the second one to drive the new road, it is very nice. Fishing was tough but there were other things to do there too!

Went to fish the lake yesterday in the boat for a couple of hours. Launched from Birch to hit/graph some spots. Caught 4 fish, missed 2. Only kept 2 for the table. I caught 2 LMB, both about 2- 2 1/2. Kept one. Caught a male WB 11 incher, and kept a beauty female 16 inches and super fat with roe. Water temp 55 degrees.

Off to LL dam this am. woot

Did a little duck hunting on the Yegua today. Up above the bridge, you can walk across some spots. It's ankle deep. Some nice deep holes in some spots. Hope it helps ya'll on the level of the creek. I live up at the start of the East Yegua. Grew up hunting and fishing her. There calling for one to two inches of rain here. It's real dry, so not much run off most likely. Alcoa is no longer pumping water in the Yegua. That always kept the water running for us in drought years. One thing, those deep holes sure looked inviting today. There were some fish hitting the top of the water! Good luck guys and gals.

This site says 1.6 inches for College Station.

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KTXCOLLE20

This is a good weather site if you're sick of all the pop-ups and other bs from the weather channel.

The Yegua basin has only received 1.8 inches of rain since the first of the year. It is still very dry but don't get discouraged because this is Texas and the weather will flip on a dime and we will have too much rain wink to deal with..
