Big trout, to the most hardy. Further south you go the easier it'll get.

Not much in the water as far as I know. I stick to freshwater this time of year.

they have been catching a lot of fish in the corpus area. saw pics of trout and reds and big pompano. they say that the pompan fishing will heat up there in the next month or so. the temps there is in the 60s and 70 and water temp there has been in the 60s at bob hall pier

Fish structure ( shell reefs ), flats ( high tide ) or drop offs from flats ( low tide ).

It would be real interesting to see a list of all months, best species to catch that month and best places to fish each month. I am new saltwater fishing and the area.

To the few who can pick their days carefully, it's the best time to land the trophy trout of a lifetime.
Low sky light SE wind days before the arrival of a front, will have the big girls up and busting a big topwater. Way shallower than you think they should be, lot's of 30" trout are caught in literally shin deep water. You going to catch a 100 a day? Not even, but the five or six hits you get will all be of the larger variety.
