+1 but also Lake Palestine Campground (formerly M&M Campground). Mostly the same fine amminities and closer to the 155 bridge & South end of the lake.

Thanks guys but all I need is a place to park my pickup with electricity to hook up a small heater and battery charger overnight. Like to have an outhouse close by too. hammer Got a topper on the truck and an air mattress for the back. All set for a weekend @ Palestine if I have these amenities.

Didn't mean to hijack the post but inquiring minds want to know.

Try Palestine Pines (about 200 yards NE of the 155 bridge) I think they have what you need for a $7 fee. Call and see. (903) 825-1100

Thanks pepop. That is what I am looking for. Seems a little rough when I did a google search but hey I carry a Glock 23 all the time anyways. 31 years in the military and always qualified as an expert. See you all there.

Its not bad at all. My 21 yr old daughter and three or four girl friends stay out there every year on a certain weekend and have never had a problem. There is a guy that is always there on a golfcart checking things out.

Thanks pug. If 21 year old girls can stay there then it won't be a problem for this old man except for having 21 year old girls staying there. banana rolfmao

Try not to boo me, but where would a man and his 2 sons be able to buy minnows at 6:00 am near there? Campground and villages are nearly always closed.

The owner says good, that he has 6-8 or more folks there every day. If you want minners, the L.P. Campground (used to be M.M. Campground) sells them & I think they open at 7.

Palestine pines ramp sucks. I put in At kilo land this morn and it's better than pal pines. IMO

I can't believe Kilo's ramp is still accessible. It is one steep sucker. I had to quit going to Pines also. I am now using the Villages.
