We are very excited about our first BLT Division in Del Rio. This "Premier" Team Division will have a $300 entry fee and will fish all five tournaments on Amistad. The first tournament will begin Jan 22 and the weigh in will be at Diablo East.

All BLT tournaments allow trailering and the start fishing times are posted on the BLT website one week before the tournaments. If you register early by mail or on line with a credit card you do not need to check in at the registration / weigh in site and may launch from any ramp you choose and begin fishing, using cell phone time, at the start time posted on the BLT website.

All BLT Division tournaments have the same stop fishing time of 3pm and the anglers catch must be in the weigh in line before 4pm.

The $300 BLT Premier Team Divisions qualify for all 4 Region Championships, if the anglers enter 4 of 5 tournaments or finish in the top 50% of weight rankings.

Just curious, why did you guys make the decision to change Del Rio to a premier division? Was thinking about fishing it when it was first announced b/c I'm tired of donating at the BassChamps level, and this seemed like a good, less expensive option, but don't think I can/should now.

Your right, we did raise the entry fee. This was done primarily because of the pm's and e-mails we received from anglers who were interested in fishing this division after we made the announcement on our website and the TFF. Most told us they do not like to travel great distances for low entry tournaments and that other than a few club tournaments and Championship tournaments, there was not a higher entry level trail that fished primarily on Amistad. So, we decided to raise the entry, fish only on Amistad with this Division and see what happens.

If the response we get from the Del Rio Division anglers, who fish with us this year, is to lower the entry fee, we will lower it next year.

This will be our first BLT Division in this area and the response we get in attendance will have an impact on what we do in the future.

If gas prices do go to $5 a gallon, as predicted by some, it will impact all tournament providers and the anglers who enter their tournaments.

Angler input is very important to us and we do listen. I hope you will decide to fish with us in 2011 and are on board when we decide which direction we turn in the future.

How many are pre-registered?

We do not expect any pre-registration until a week to 10 days before the tournament. The pre entry has no impact on the start time (flight # like most tournaments) since we are a trailering tournament circuit and everyone starts fishing at the same time.

We had 18 pre-registered at Rayburn last month and had almost 50 teams register the morning of the tournament. Most of our entries come the morning of the event because we are always at the weigh in site by 5am.

Our TD at Del Rio/Amistad said he is getting a lot of calls. We have had several bass clubs call to get more information and tell us many of their club members are planning to fish in it.

Only time will tell.....

Our website on line entry should be corrected shortly to allow credit card use for a $300 entry tournament. Our fault for not catching this earlier. Once we started getting calls we went to work on it. Currently, we are only able to accept $160 team entries with a credit card. Anglers can still print off an entry form on line and mail the entry with a check or get an entry form at Angler's Lodge in Del Rio if you live nearby.

I haven't heard of any of the guys I know that are fishing it are going to pre register. Well show up and pay.

Are you guys considering South Texas for further expansion? No offense to the other trails, but We sure could use another alternative down here. We have very little choice as far as quality trails go. Would love to see a San Antonio or South Texas division.
