Gentlemen, I'm pleased to announce that at 3:40 today, I broke my string of bad luck. I banked a single lmb that went about 12 or 13 inches. Nothing huge obviously, but I don't care. I also hooked one right before I left that was much healthier but it spit the hook out at me. Both were on a silver and black rooster tail. Thanks for everyones input. I've learned alot and spent alot of money!!

My favorite pond has been pretty consistent the last couple of weeks. I have fished it probably 4 times in the last 14 days and every time I get 3-5 running 2-4 lbs. White and chartruese spinners always work. Also done well with chatterbaits.
Now that it's getting cooler, I will probably start dragging plastics.
Going again tomorrow over lunch

I rarely struggle; I just change species! There is almost always something biting...

It has been slow in the wintertime but you have to keep going just in case . I've noticed that you can have good success at night around 6-8. Even though it's dark that is their main feeding time. With it getting dark earlier in the winter don't be afraid to stay out til 8 like you would in the summer.

I guess I need to ask since I've only lived in Dallas for 6 months, is the spring time going to be better? I don't have a boat and have been bank fishing Grapevine and LL on the weekends, but I've been having a tough time lately as well. What am I in for once it gets warmer, I mean will the bank fishing get better. This will be my first spawn and I'm hoping to do a lot better than what I have been.

Got this one today on a small beetle spin with a pumpkinseed colored grub for the body. Went about 17.5 inches. Caught a couple smaller ones on the same bait. Maybe small is the way to go
