I am fishing a little tournament this weekend. I have spent some time on the water and know what I want to start out with. I have had my rods rigged all week.
I have changed lures on three rods at leat twice!!
My wife just laughs at me.

If you know what you want to start out with but you have changed lures three times your second guessing yourself already.
I do this too, but its just getting pumped up and excited about fishing that makes me over think.

Best tournaments, I just threw what was tied on from last month to start and go from there.
I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP

All depends on the weather.

I tie all mine on the night before then before I use them on the water I just about every time cut it and retie. when i do that, i start getting rod actions confuse and end up using the wrong rod for the right application and miss/lose fish. i dont realize it until after the fish comes unbuttoned

I get rigged up days before the tourney, but many times I change my whole game plan within the first 15 minutes of fishing.

Tie the night before my 3 primary baits, then my 3 secondary baits. Spray spools with line conditioner (prevents much frustration with fluorocarbon line). Check the weather one last time. Take a ZZZZZ pill. Go to sleep.

Not me. I just grab a few more rods and rig them separatley till I end up with 18-20 rods rigged and ready to go. Did I mention that I hate retying baits on the lake? I prefer to just grab another rod and start casting.

I get to the boat ramp early and rig what my gut tells me to rig... When you start second guessing your decision is when I lose faith in a bait....
I always make sure my line and my terminal tackle is ready (ie, respool, oil, hooks sharp, replace weights) Just my own little way of getting ready to donate to someone else

Everything rigged and ready and sprayed down the night before. It helps to have that battle plan, even if it only lasts an hour.
