Didn't someone mention buying 1 pound weights at Academy for 49 cents a piece? Might be worth checking into.

Start walking the tracks. There are always railroad spikes laying aroung.

Actually - that is where I get mine.
Works for me. Also can use the clips, splice plates, etc they leave laying.

i use the 1lb weights from academy for .49 each..they work great

Don't get caught walking the tracks and picking up anything. It is a felony offense if you get caught.
Come to Justin where FM 407 heads east out of town. It crosses the tracks and you can park in the parking lot of the furniture store and pick up all you want within a 100 yard area.
Don't get caught and play dumb if you do.

uhhh....good one redneck. dont walk railroad tracks much so I didnt know they were that plentiful just laying around. thanks for the info, I'll have to check it out.
