I checked out the park down here guys and it will not be open any time soon.... did get some good info from an old timer fishing in town though! Lots of Buffalo and carp!!! I'm fishing in the park a little west of where y'all fished at Chad, Curt, and Chris. You can fish here anytime all night long and you can pull your vehicle on the grass along the jogging trail wherever you wanna fish!! This would be a great place for a fishin... only prob is no bathrooms as far as I can see...

The recreation center swim has a restroom just a short walk away.

Did you find anything worthwhile? Glad to see the report from the local about the fish population.

I got a lot of info from a couple of locals. Apparently lake waco holds some big carp and another lake just north of the river there has good size also. I didn't get to go to either place since I was there working but I cought 15 buffalo around 16 ponds each on Tuesday. No carp but I saw them crashing right over where I baited up. All the fish I cought were on wheat bread balls. No runs on chickpeas or maze. Oh and no runs on rosehip boillies either all on wheat. Couldn't take any pics when I got there I closed my tonneau cover on my phone and broke the camera lense in my phone.... was there from bout 430 till 11 when the wind changed out of the north and got too cold. P.S. all the locals use dough bait thay they make so that is probably gonna be the bait to use.

All those buffs sound good to me. They probably pushed the carp out of the way. Were they from the little park area you described?

Right at dusk it looked like sandbass snapping the bugs off the top of the water for about an hour...
