Hello Randy. Granbury is about the only lake I fish. I haven't been out much the last 2 months or so (new baby and a 3 yr old), but Granbury has a really nice crappie population and you can catch them with jigs right now. Fish 15-25' of water (depending on what part of the lake you're on. This depth is "deep" on the upper end where I usually fish). Fish right near the bottom and move the jig none or very little. The slips at Groggy Dawg are holding fish now and are easy to fish from a boat. The bite is probably pretty subtle right now but there are a lot of fish to be caught. I'm more help starting in March than now.
 I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

DW...where can I get these weedless crappie jigs? Thanks. Weedless crappie jig,s (THE MAN RIGHT CHERE) straight out the boot and wont snag nutting but meat for show nuff. Sorry DW no Hijack intended, good looking fish JD said he wished he would have met you out there today.Good safe trip thats living right there.
