Folks, know we just posted the 2011 TFF Diez Tuna Charter, but Tx Grizzly had asked T.O.O. to put together a possible plan of action for a 36 hour deep drop charter for summer 2011. There has been a lot of responses on TxGrizz's "interest in" post and he has given the approval to present this charter allowing T.O.O. to work for the charter. The dates below were reserved with the idea that just maybe the Red Snapper season will run through early/middle August 2011. As Amberjack season will be closed June 1st-July 31st 2011, we hope to be able to provide a crossover of the two species seasons. We have nothing confirmed about Red Snapper season, but we figure there is a shot at the season running into August allowing for folks to keep 4 snapper and 2 AJ's plus grouper, any tuna, Dorado, Ling, Wahoo, other snapper, etc they catch. F.W. runs a solid program and the SC 36 hour trip is a good mix of price, comfort, and fishing platform. The total fishing time will be roughly 24 hours, figure on 5-6 hours running out and in, 10-12 hours total running time, and stopping on the the way out at deep structures. Any deepwater shrimpboats that the charter stops can reduce deep drop and night time deep rig fishing the charter would do. Don't think folks would complain if they get into some Blackfin Tuna, Dorado, Ling, Wahoo, etc at shrimpboats. The captain will not waste time at any particular shimpboat if no desirable fish come up right away. Stop, chum, look, if no good fish, move on. This charter will not go to the floaters, period. Deep drop for big meanies and deep water rig or rocks at night, shrimpboats if any are around. Sleeping on board at no charge the night before is being offered by F.W. 1st annual Tx Grizz Deep Drop Derby, (TxG3D)Boat: Scat CatDock: Fisherman's WharfLocation: Port Aransas, TexasDates: Saturday-Sunday August 6th-7th, 2011charter Length: 36 hoursCost: $390 per person Minimum Fishermen: 22Maximum Fishermen: 24Departure Time: 6amReturn Time: 6pmTargeted fishing: Deep drop for AJ's, grouper, Red Snapper (if season is open then)other snapper, night time jigging and deep drop at deepwater shelf rig ie, Falcon, etc. Hit deepwater shrimpboats on the way out and back for Tuna, ling, Dorado, Wahoo, etc.Payment: Security deposit: $40 due January 17th, 2011Deposit: $175 due February 18th, 2011Final Balance: $175 due July 15th, 2011 Checks Made out to and sent to: T.O.O. 1403 W. As Tx Grizzly initiated this charter he will be the final say on what goes on with the charter. T.O.O. will provide all information regarding what the charter situation is as well as bookkeep and keep track of all information on the charter but all charter decisions will be the final say of Tx Grizzly's. So post up if wanting to join the 1st annual TxG3D charter August 6th-7th, 2011. It looks like it will be blast. Committed List TxG3D charter 1. TxGrizzly 2. trlrman 3. Jig 4. Jig jr 5. Sounds interesting. Do they let you stay on the boat the night before for 36 hours trips?

Sounds interesting. Do they let you stay on the boat the night before for 36 hours trips? Yes on board lodging the night before is being offered by F.W. for no charge. Edited the first post to show this information

Great, I thought this might have been a tuna trip only hospitality they offered. Makes the deal sweeter.

We have to be able to catch the baitfish all night. Of course, this being a Friday night, and it summer and all, it might be a zoo with the bars sharing the same parking lots.
