Im going to be in Waco for the next 2 days for work and am staying the night tomorrow. Anyone know a good spot in Waco to get some carping in after work tomorrow??

Take a look at this. Therre is parking at the recreation center and a small pier to fish from. Chad,Chris, and I tried here last year. Current was strong. Fishing was difficult. If the current has slacked, it could be interesting. Water has good depth.

There is also a short pier just west of the Hwy 84 bridge.

There are some good looking spots west of 35. I used to boat race in Waco and always wondered about the fishing.

There's a community center on the north side with a big catfish in a truck. That's where the dock is that we fished on.

To the west there's another small parking area where you can fish. At this park you can makes friends if you back your truck in.

The park Curt mention a little further west past HJ Central is at the bend in the river. We're serious about trying it out in the Spring. Swing by there and see if they have a date listing when it may be open again.

are yall talking about Cameron park on the south side or on the north side of the river right at the bend?

North side. Cliffs on the south with very little access and no room to fish. There is alot of open bank on the south side to the west of 35 about a mile in.
