I am new to posting on the catfish forum and have a crazy question. I recently fried up some catfish caught on CC and my sister-n-law said she would not eat it. Thinking that it was caught out of Lake Dallas, she said "that lake has sewage in it, I'm not eating that"

So, that's the question: Is there any truth to the allegation? Has there ever been sewage dumped into Lake Dallas?

Thanks,
Rookiefish

Are you talking about Lake Dallas, as in Lake Lewisville's so called "OLD LAKE"?

If you are referring to the older part of Lake Lewisville, I have eaten several catfish from there.

The old lake Dallas is now part of Lake Lewisville. There is nothing wrong with eating the fish from there. If that would bather her she shouldn't go swimming over there then.

Heysdad, yes I was talking of the old Lake Dallas that is now a part of Lake Lewisville.

Does anyone have any knowledge of sewage being dumped into Lake Dallas?

Sewage has been dumped in nearly all lakes, rivers, and oceans in the state and robably the world. The state of Texas test water and fish from all lakes&rivers and issues a warning when its unhealthy to eat fish from a certain body of water.
If someone doesn't want to eat fish from some waters, just forget it because they will always feel that way.

Clients or I have landed eight state record fish and eighteen water body records.
