I've had one for two years and it has been beat to death on my little boat (not intentionally). Slamming waves, spearing and being swamped by waves, rained on, heat, cold; still clicking as good as it was when it was new.

It has the clearest picture you can get from a black and white unit and the GPS has never failed me.

If you notice any moisture inside the screen, just unscrew the screws on the back of the unit, open it up a little bit and set a blow dryer at it for a while to dry it out. I had to do this once after hella-spearing a wave on Rayburn. It only let a little water in that one time and has been fine ever since I dried it back out.

I had it at the console for a year then moved it to the trolling motor after I got a HDS. Still love it.

I've had one in the console for about a year now with the hotmaps card, and I love it. I'm new to a lot of this and I'm still learning how to use and read it. Eagle has a deal you can download that let's you demo the unit on your PC http://www.eaglenav.com/Downloads/Product-Emulators/ I still use it to learn how to use the features of this unit
