I will most likly be getting a center console boat, it's a 16 foot boat and it has 1 fairly large livewell in the back of the boat. I would like to start fishing the smaller tournaments on Lake Conroe, just wondering:

Are there any rules against livewells in the tournaments, like a certain type or size or location on the boat that the livewell has to be.

Just wondering, and any other info about the Lake Conroe Tournaments would be appreciated....Thanks!

Not to my knowledge. In most tournaments there is however a penalty of some sort for dead fish.

No rules on livewell size or location. Just as long as it works. Which trails you thinking bout fishing?

I honestly don't know what trails their are and which one a beginner tournament fisherman should fish. The sunday morning tournament, I heard is pretty affordable with a $45 entry fee.

What would be a good trail to fish lake Conroe?

Try to find a bass club that fishes Conroe.

Stowaway Sunday Morning (6:00-12:30)
-you can check out their facebook page for recent results.

Or for a series of tournaments with championship, standings, angler of year, etc
you can check these out. I have them in no particular order. All are ran in an organized fashion from my experience the last couple years. .

Also look into the SETX Federation. Entry fees are only $60 and even though it was a down year, we averaged 114 per tourny. We only fish Conroe once though. PM me if you want any more info.

Most tournaments only state that the livewell should be able to hold a limit of fish.

Depending on the tournament, some rules state that you need to have a divided livewell.

Look into the Seven Coves Bass Club. Although I'm not a part of it, I have a couple of friends that are (Matt & Ty Russel)and they talk nothing but good things about them.
