goin to joe pool tomorrow. the only texas lakes ive fished this year are fork and monti. just need some advise on what kind of lures are workin this time of year.

I noticed you live in irving. If your interested we can split gas and go to monti tuesday I was out there sat with a a man i met on here named wade & we had a ok day at least 15 fish with biggest at 7lbs. I have a 19 ft champion or if you prefer we can use your boat.As far a Joe pool goeas I dont have a clue this time of year.

The north end of the lake very slow and deep.The pressure is high so you will be lucky if you catch anything.Pool is an unforgiving winter lake.

If you find the sandbass this time of year, you can usually find the largemouth mixed in.

Until Randy H comes out and admits that he caught those 9's on JP, I'm siding w/ the guy that has the countriest accent and drives the slowest boat on Fork!

If it were me I'd be looking for any grass I could find and burning a trap in it. If there is no grass left then jerkbaits on rocky points and jettys always put a few in the boat.
