Can anyone give me some input on how to transfer waypoints from one unit to another, I have a HDS 8 on the console and when I see something I want to mark, it is on that unit. Would like to be able to transfer waypoints from my 8 to the HDS 5 on the bow.

I know you can interlink them somehow, but believe that requires running some new wiring. Can you download to a memory stick and upload on other unit?

Thanks for any advice.

all u need is the ethernet cable and connect them together, they will than share wpts

Yes, you can save them on a SD card and transfer to the other unit. But as mentioned, I would link them together.
